We don’t get to control the chaos outside of our home, but inside its walls, you can create a customised world according to your specific wants and needs. It’s the only environment you have complete creative control over, so make it exactly as you want it to be.

Each objekt you choose to interact with in your home, especially those you use daily, should be objekts that you love, ones that elevate basic functions and make them ritualistic and pleasurable. The silverware, dishes and bedding are a good place to start.

It is in the quality of the materials, the beauty of the design, and the skilled execution of the production process that creates the sublime. Today, that is most often found in Vintage and Artisan Objekts, and the juxtaposition of how they cohabitate.

Welcome to the Salt Road, a curated collection of vintage and artisan crafted objekts for your home, available through seasonal “pop-ups” in the Seattle area and a web based storefront, updated as these hand selected objekts become available.

I travel the world in search of unique hand crafted artisan and vintage objekts, sourcing mainly from Switzerland, Italy and France, with occasional trips to Africa, the Middle East and Asia. This curated collection is singular, featuring a selection of objekts I use in my own home. Artisan made goods are vetted by me personally.
